Stephen Shaya, MD, Chairman

Since 2004, Dr. Shaya has been the Chief Medical Officer and EVP of Corporate Development of J & B Medical, a global healthcare solutions company.


Dr. Shaya has received many recognitions including becoming a Knight of Grace for the Knights of Malta, the 2015 Global Distinguished Health Care Award from the Center of Economic and Leadership Development, and a United States Congressional Commendation.


Dr. Shaya received the Global Medical Innovation and Leadership Award August 19, 2016, at the United Nations along with a commendation from the New York State Senate.


Stephen J. McCormack, PhD, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. McCormack is a serial entrepreneur, investor and chief executive in the medical device and biotechnology fields.


He co-founded and operated many companies as chief executive including: AlleCure, with an effective allergy vaccine; MannKind, NASDAQ:MNKD, that has developed an approved inhaler for diabetes, and other chronic medical conditions; NeuroSystec (part of the Advanced Bionics acquisition by Boston Scientific), for drug delivery through cochlear implants and treatment of tinnitus; and, CytoMx Therapeutics, NASDAQ:CTMX, currently developing antibody therapeutics. One of Dr. McCormack’s most significant professional achievements was the European approval of a retinal implant device to restore sight to the blind at the predecessor company to Science.xyz.


Dr. McCormack is passionate about creating solutions for the opioid crisis and has been a longtime trustee of the Betty Ford Center and philanthropy council of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation


Mr. Patrick Mitchell, Chief Financial Officer

Over the past 40 years Patrick has earned global respect as a leader in public and private asset management industry.


He spent fifteen years with Guggenheim Partners as Assistant CIO and then Senior Advisor to the Global CIO. As CIO, Patrick was responsible for asset allocation, investment performance, external manager review, and budget responsibility for the 100+ investment team.


Patrick has been involved in numerous philanthropic and civic activities including advisory boards for the Carter Center, Children’s Hospital, Jim & Grace Mitchell Scholarship Fund, Northeast Community Clinics, Union Rescue Mission, and United Way.


Mr. Malek El Husseini, Eng., General Manager

Malek serve as the Healthcare Asset Manager for SEE CAPITAL since July 2018, a wellbeing platform that take care of holistic view of health in social, environmental and economic point of view.


Malek El Husseini was the CEO of Byrne medical a leasing company working mainly into GCC countries and function into operating lease space for medical equipment, Byrne the parent company is active in leasing of equipment for the last 20 years.


Malek El Husseini was the General Manager, Diagnostic Cardiology for GE Healthcare, Middle East, Africa, Turkey & CA, Russia & CIS from September 2012 till February



Tony Karim

Tony migrated to the US in 1995 as an immigrant in pursuit of business opportunities and a better life for his family. He started off as a manager in high end retail store.


In 2000, he received a license from Mastercard International to promote prepaid credit cards. Then, in 2002, Tony and his family launched 3 high end party stores in Ann Arbor, Michigan which became pillars of the community. In 2013, Tony opened Premium Packaging which is a liquor packaging company and built a network of customers nationwide in the wine and spirits business.


In 2018, Tony began working with Stephen Shaya, M.D., who started his family office Akkad Holdings, as an advisor. Currently, Tony manages all of the International Investments of Akkad Holdings and works closely with the leadership team on strategy and business development and currently working on large scale health care infrastructure development projects and the trading of commodities.
